Ty Gwyn is a residential home that provides an environment in which the service users lead as normal life as they are able, maintaining individuality and dignity. This lovely village has excellent amenities consisting of a health centre, post office, churches, libraries, shops, pubs and a regular bus service.
Ty Gwyn is registered by the Care Quality Commission to accommodate for 12 male and female service users with Learning Disabilities, and conforms to all health & safety and fire standards and relevant codes of practise for the administration of medicines, we also have health care visits from dentist, chiropodist, optician and a weekly hairdresser.
Ty Gwyn has 8 rooms which are single and 2 twin rooms, and we have ample bathing and showering facilities. Each bedroom is fitted with its own furniture, smoke detector and nurse call. There is a large TV room, dining room, sitting room, snoozelem and relax room, conservatory and lift and wheelchair access to all areas. We also provide our own in house daycare to our residents.
Our main commitment to Ty Gwyn is the daily care of each resident, and to provide a cheerful and happy atmosphere for residents.
It is the policy of Ty Gwyn to supply a service of consistent quality to its resident. This level of quality is achieved through the competence of the home to existing and potential service users and independent authorities.
All Staff are dedicated to giving a high service of care to all residents.
Each resident is looked after with his/her needs in mind. They are encouraged to continue with their daily activities and to pursue their own interests. A wholesome and healthy diet adhered to, at the same time, the likes and dislikes of our residents are taken into consideration.
We have special annual events such as Christmas parties and Easter parties, various outings and activities such as keep-fit, games, church services and visits from the local communities.
